Oh man, I'm all spun up.
I just realized Chimney Rock is right close to where I am working but I am working too much to go!
About dark when I go to work and about dark when I get off.
I am not supposed to have over twice my yearly vacation allotment built up when we roll to the new year. But work has had me so busy the past few years I haven't been able to take much vacation. So we're rapidly approaching the new year and I have over twice that amount. Unfortunately I just got notice I need to help at 2 jobsites and so it doesn't look like I will be able to burn any vacation hours. It would be so sweet to burn a day of vacation and go climb.
"Locals Guide to Rock Climbs of Northeastern California". I'm going to have to quit looking at this book because it just rubs in my face everything I get to miss out on.
Evil book, I must burn it!
Just kidding. Great book, shows lots of good places in the area to go climb.
Time to put some climb locations on my white-board for the wish list.....

I have that guide book and the State of Jefferson guide book. The SoJ guide book is small but has a real extensive section on Castle Crags. I just read it and make a dream list. The locals guide has a lot of areas in it and really goes in depth with the history of the areas which I really like. It gives a different aspect that I never even thought about, who were the first climbers to develop the areas. I always just climbed and enjoyed the creativity in names.
